As part of our mission, Equine 808 Horse Rescue will host horse management classes for children and adults. The objective of this training is to provide the horse owner or prospective owner with the information necessary to keep them and their animals healthy and happy.

We offer individual riding lessons and a horse camp.  My individual lessons have been chosen with great care to offer students the personal attention they deserve.  If you have your own horse, I can and will travel to your facility for individual lessons.  See information on individual lessons on the right.

Everyone can benefit from lessons and the time invested pays huge dividends quickly by increasing one's enjoyment in riding. The right kinds of lessons make the sport safer and lead to a more rewarding relationship with the horse.  My goal is to make every rider’s experience fun and incredibly enjoyable and to help the rider work and train their horse and to also help riders achieve their own personal horsemanship goals – whatever they may be.

Riding Lessons build confidence, enhance your knowledge base, improve your technique, and are lots of fun!  Lessons are available for beginners through advanced level riders. Training includes approach and forming a union, safety & handling, horse care & grooming, saddling & ride preparation, mounting & dismounting, reining techniques, hand, leg & voice commands, posture, exercises, and advanced Horsemanship training.

BACK TO SCHOOL HORSE CAMP PROGRAM

Equine 808 Horse Day Camp is for boys and girls ages 4 through 17.  My Back to School Horse Camp Program starts again September 2009.  Every Sunday for five weeks for 1 hour a day.  (Each class is designed for up to 4 students)  Students will be interacted in basic western riding skills, horse safety, horse care, feeding and many more other horse subjects.  We will teach students how to care for a horse and include grooming, tacking, anatomy and riding.  Students may participate in chores such as cleaning paddocks and washing down horses as well as feeding horses.

Each session is filled with horse activities geared toward developing riders into accomplished riders. Individual advanced riding lessons is available after horse camp.   See camp schedule on the right.
