Adoption can be one of the most rewarding and wonderful experiences of your life. Many people believe that if a horse is available for adoption, nobody wants it and it has no value. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Many rescue horses are sound, ride-able, and can make a great companion.  Adopt a partner for life so, thank you for inquiring about adopting a horse from Equine 808 Horse Rescue. Many horses we get may have been neglected, abused or surrendered for many reasons; however, this she not affect their usefulness as pleasure horses. We may get horses that are only comfortable in pasture, and are suitable as companions. We determine their level of physical comfort and usefulness by compiling information from our assessment team or trainer, veterinarian or the previous owner, so a mutually compatible match can be made for you and the horse. Transportation of your newly adopted horse to your facility can be arranged by our staff.
 

Please read, complete, and return the application attached and the $25 non-refundable application donation via check or credit card. Be sure to fill out every question on the application, including attaching a description of your ideal horse. As soon as we receive your application we will begin screening your references.  Often, the screening process can be completed in one day. All decisions to adopt a horse from Equine 808 is based on the applicant’s horse knowledge, honesty, safety of facility, financial stability, and ability to provide a lifetime home to an adopted horse. 
 

We do request an adoption fee based on the horse's level of use and the costs we sustained taking care of the horse.

Equine 808 Horse Rescue adoption and re-homing program helps assist in placing horses into loving permanent homes. If you need help finding your horse a good home, you can list them on our site here for a $20 fee!  We will do what we can to assist you in finding a qualified home. Any complete surrenders must contact the director for more information.

SHARE-BOARDING: Horses for lease also known as "share-boarding" is another great option to selling your horse of giving your horse the love and attention they deserve.  Share-boarding can  introduce a horse lover  the ins and outs of horse ownership and offer the same joy of horse ownership without the commitment, obligation of full ownership.
